Hey guys it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2013 Ram 2500 and we're going to be doing a test fit to show you how the Yakima HangOver is going to interact with it. This bike rack is going to be meant for your larger mountain bikes like we have here and those downhill bikes. It's going to hold it by the fork at the top and by the tire here at the bottom. So our bracket here on the top is going to hold between our forks. So with this triangular design it's going to force itself up between the two forks, keeping that front wheel from moving side to side. more

Inno Tire Hold Bike Rack Review - 2007 Dodge Ram Pickup- Video
Today on our 2007 Dodge Ram, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Inno Tire Hold Bike Carrier. This is going to be your platform style 2 bike carrier. You do have the option with it in the 2 inch shank or your 2 inch receiver class 3 hitch to add an additional bike carrier which will be part number INH306, but this is gong to be part number INH305 which will be for your class 1 and class 2 hitches with your 1 1/4 capabilities. Right, let's go ahead and get it fitted onto our Ram with our class 3 2 inch hitch. Once we have it inserted, line up your pin holes and insert your anti rattle bolt which will look like this with the lock on the end. Go ahead and take off the lock, place that in and thread it in as far as you can by hand. All right and with it being in just hand tighten, you could see that you'll still have a lot of play, wobble and rattle in the back end. more

Today on our 2007 Dodge Ram we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Vertex. This is going to be your hanging-style 4-bike rack for your 1-1/4" class one and class two hitches, as well as the 2" adapter for the class three hitches. It has the tilting feature, and it's going to be part number TH9029XT. Let's go ahead and get it fitted into our 2" receiver that we have here today. Once you have it inserted, go ahead and line up your pinholes and place in your anti-rattle bolt, which look like this. Thread it in as far as you can by hand and then I'll show you what it looks like if the anti-rattle bolt is not tightened all the way. You'll have a lot of play, rattle, and wobble in your hitch. more

Today on our 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 series quad cab pickup we're going to be test fitting the Thule Hitching Post Pro folding and tilting 4-bike rack. That's going to be part number TH934XTR. We're going to go ahead and slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of the 2" hitch until the pinholes line up. Then we're going to hand tighten the bolt once those pins are aligned. Once that's hand tightened we can finish tightening with a wrench. We can give it a wiggle just to make sure that it's in place, and then we're going to do some measurements. We're going to start by measuring our ground clearance. more

Hollywood Racks Traveler Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2009 Dodge Ram Pickup- Video
Today on our 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Series Quad Cab pickup we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Rack, the 4-bike rack. That's HR8500 is the part number. This is a tilting rack, and it's also designed for 1 1/4 as well as 2 inch hitches. We've got a 2 inch hitch here today, so we're going to start by feeding the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of the hitch, until those pin holes are aligned. Once they are, you can begin threading in your anti-rattle bolt by hand. .. Once that's as far as you can get it by hand you can finish that off with your socket wrench. more

Today on our 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab we will be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Traveler 5-bike rack, part number HR9200. Go ahead and start by inserting our shank into our 2" receiver here until our pinholes line up. Once we get those lined up we'll go ahead and insert our anti-rattle bolt. We can hand tighten that. We'll take our socket wrench and finish tightening the rest of the way. This is going to remove any excess wobbling or any rattling that the bike rack may have. more

Today on our 2009 Dodge RAM pickup 1500 Series Quad Cab, we will be test fitting our Saris Freedom Superclamp platform style 2-bike rack, part number SA 4025. Let's go ahead and insert the shank into the receiver here, until our pinholes line up. Once our pinholes have lined up, go ahead and insert our anti-rattle bolt, and start hand tightening. I'll come in with our wrench and finish tightening that down. That's going to keep the bike rack from shaking back and forth, or any wobble, or anything like that. We'll go ahead and put on our provided lock, until that clicks into place. Let's go ahead and take some measurements. more

Today, on our 2009 1500 Series Dodge Ram Quad Cab Pick-Up, we're going to be test-fitting the Softride Dura Parallelogram. This is a four-bike tilting rack, and it is part number SR26247. It's designed for 1 1/4 as well as 2-inch hitches. We've got a 2-inch hitch here today. We're going to begin by threading the shank or fitting the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of the hitch until the pinholes are aligned. There are multiple pinholes on this shank, and we're going to go with the pinhole that allows the bike rack to sit furthest away from the vehicle, which will be suitable for the most clearance of our tailgate. Once that's in place, we're going to thread our anti-rattle bolt into the pinhole by hand. more

Today on our 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Series Quad Cab, we're going to be test fitting the Saris Freedom. This is a platform style 4 bike, hitch mounted bike rack, Part Number SA4414B. Our truck has a 2 inch by 2 inch class 33 hitch on it. We are going to getting a test fit by sliding our bike rack directly into the receiver tube of our hitch. We're going to push this in here until we see that our pin holes line up with one another. Once we get that lined up we can take our anti-rattle bolt, place it through, we're just going to go ahead and get it hand tight. more

Speaker 2: Today on our 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Series Pickup Quad Cab, we will be test fitting the Saris Bike Porter 4 Bike Rack part number SA404B. We are going to begin by inserting the shank into the receiver here until our pin holes line up. Once those are line up, you should be able to hand tighten. Once we got that hand tight, we go ahead and use our socket wrench. By tightening this, this is going to relieve any wobble, excess wobble that the bike rack may have. Once we got that, we go ahead and put our clip in the other side here. more

Softride Hang5 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2009 Dodge Ram Pickup- Video
Today on our 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 we'll be test fitting the Softride Hang5 Hitch Mounted 5 Bike Rack, Part Number SR26496. We'll begin our test fit by sliding in the shank of the mast into the opening of the hitch. After lining up our pin holes, we'll thread our anti-rattle bolt through the pin holes and then tighten it down using a wrench. We'll then go ahead and slide the arms of the bike rack into the upper portion of the mast. You'll know when the arms have been fully secured when you hear an audible click. We'll go ahead and go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. more

Today on our 2011 Dodge Ram pickup, we'll be test fitting the Thule double-track platform-style two-bike carrier for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches. Part number TH990XT. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. Line up the pin hole, thread in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten with a wrench. Now we'll go over a few clearance measurements. We have about sixteen and a half inches of ground clearance. The closest point of the carrier to the rear of our Dodge Ram is about three inches. We've added about twelve inches to the overall length of our vehicle. We'll pull the gray lever at the base of the carrier and allow it to unfold. more

There's about 21 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle here at the rear bumper is about one inch.With the cradle arms folded down we've added about 12 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. We'll now pull the gray lever at the top of the mast to swing the cradle arms out and we'll measure from the tailgate to the end of the cradle arms and we'll get a measurement of about 39 inches.To access the bed of the pickup truck we'll pull the gray lever at the bottom of the carrier to tilt the mast down. This will allow us to have access to our tailgate. more

Today on our 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 we'll be test fitting the Kuat Sherpa Platform-Style Aluminum Two Bike Carrier, part number s102. To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line up our pin holes, insert our pin through the pin holes and secure with the lock on the other side.We'll now turn the black T-handle at the back of the shank to engage the anti-rattle device. Now with the Kuat Sherpa secured to our Dodge Ram we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how they fit together. With the platform folded up we have about 22 inches of ground clearance.The closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle here at the rear bumper is about 2-1/2 inches. With the platform folded up we've added about 14 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. We'll now pull up on the gold handle to tilt the platform down and with the platform folded down we have about 29 inches of ground clearance and added about 30 inches to the overall length of the vehicle.With the platform folded down we can lower the tailgate and see if the tailgate does come in contact with the bike carrier. more

Today on our 2013 Dodge Ram we'll be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Traveler Five Bike Carrier, part number hr9200. Now to begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line up our pin holes, thread our anti-rattle bolt through the pin holes and tighten with a wrench.Now that the Hollywood Racks Traveler is secured to our Dodge Ram we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how they fit together. There's about 18 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle here at the rear bumper is about 12 inches.With the cradle arms folded down we've added about 16 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. We'll now loosen up the knobs on the left and right hand side of the carrier to bring the cradle arms out. We'll then tighten them down securing the cradle arms into position. more

There's about 18 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle here at the rear bumper is about five inches.With the cradle arms folded down we've added about nine inches to the overall length of the vehicle. We'll now pull the pin at the top of the mast to swing the cradle arms out and we'll measure from the vehicle's tailgate to the end of the carrier's cradle arms and we'll get a measurement of about 36 inches.Now this bike carrier does have the ability to tilt down by removing the pin and clip at the base of the carrier and tilting the mast down. When lowering the tailgate the tailgate does come in contact with the mast of the carrier. more

Now, we've already gone ahead and installed our bike rack into the vehicle, tightening down our anti-rattle bolt. This is what it would look like in the stored position on your truck. We'll now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 19 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle in the stored position is 4 inches. When we fold the platform down, we'll add an additional 33 inches of overall length to the vehicle. more

Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 17-1/2 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle in the stored position is 4 inches. The closest point of the bike rack platform is 17 inches from the back of the vehicle and with the platform down, you'll add an additional 31 inches to the overall length of your truck. more

Swagman Titan Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Dodge Ram- Video
Today on our 2012 Dodge Ram 1500, we'll be test fitting the Swagman Titan 4 Bike Carrier, part number S63410. With our vehicle equipped with a 2-inch hitch, we've already installed our adapter sleeve so we're ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. We'll simply install the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install our anti-rattle device. That will secure our bike rack to the vehicle. Now, we'll go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our bike rack ground clearance is 21 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 9-1/2 inches. more

SportRack EZ Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Dodge Ram- Video
Today on our 2012 Dodge Ram 1500, we'll be test fitting the Sportrack 2 Bike Mounted Bike Rack, part #A30901. Our vehicle's equipped with a two-inch class three hitch. So with our adaptor installed, we're ready to fit it to the vehicle. We'll slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and insert our anti-rattle bolt. And with our bolt tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle and we're ready to go ahead and load it up. At this point, we'll give you a few measurements. more
